Free Online Version

The publisher and the authors have decided to make the whole book available online, and the PDF version of "Signal Processing for Communications" is free for you to download. We think that information should circulate freely, and that the primary goal of teaching is to make knowledge broadly accessible.

EPFL Press has kindly agreed to let us publish the PDF version electronically as an experiment, despite having invested in producing the hardcover textbook. Of course, we believe that if you are really interested in the material then the physical version of the book is a great idea; on top of it all, it also comes with a beautiful cover!

In the spirit of this experiment we suggest that, if you download and use the PDF version as a textbook, you then consider making a donation according to your abilities to this account. All of the funds collected in this way will be used to purchase copies of the book from EPFL Press at cost and these copies will be donated to universities in countries that need but cannot afford such books. We will post the number of copies available and answer motivated requests for such free copies, including the covering of shipping costs. For all information about this book fund initiative, please contact us.

Please keep in mind that the material is protected by copyright, and that if you reproduce part of the text, the source must be cited in full. If you do adopt part or all of this text as instructional material, please inform us in writing for our records.

We truly hope that this experiment will be successful, and we hope to contribute, in however small a way, to reduce the inequalities in the access to knowledge across the world.

And now, without further ado, you can proceed to the online version of "Signal Processing for Communications".
